Summer Reading

We've been busy adding to our home library.  Some of our newest favorites are listed above- it's been fun to graduate to some more story-based books such as The Little Island, but picture books with flip-up pictures are still in heavy rotation.

Spindrift Road

The home we rented while in Carmel is just begging to be the setting for Disney's next movie.  Perched on a private lot above the Pacific, the 100+ year old "cottage" had charm far beyond what pictures can convey.

Carmel-by-the-sea

We took a once-in-a-lifetime trip to California this June to celebrate Gram's milestone 60th Birthday! A picnic at Carmel Beach was one of the most memorable days.
